Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer from Canada. Her most well-known work is her role on the American television series Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also appeared in films such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted and also in the independent films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class which is the latter of which she also wrote and co-directed. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The position required significant travel and meant that the family moved frequently. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mother and secretary, died in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother who lived in Kitchener (Ontario) played a part in raising her daughter. Her younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a journalist for magazines and a television host in Canada. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish heritage from her father. predominantly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She was a busker in Toronto's subway. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother. They made their acting debut in 1988 as twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, claims she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared on 1988's Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 to play Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons, before leaving the show as an actress in 1996.
