Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell also worked at several of the city's most prestigious restaurants, has learned about the Italian food and culture as well as was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a youngster, growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian food. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of children who face difficulties. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador which promotes awareness of juvenile diabetes. She has been a frequent presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation to mentor others in her role. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion in life with others.
