Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay is a Californian born in Long Beach, California on 24 August 1972. DuVernay was able to explore her creative and artistic side as a child due to her aunt Denise. Aunt Denise was a nurse and was a night shift worker so she could devote her days to art literature and theatre. She showed DuVernay the 1961 film West Side Story and DuVernay fell in love with it. DuVernay was taught by her mother that the art form could be utilized to engage people. DuVernay was educated by her mother, who had a social conscience and encouraged DuVernay to show her creativity through art. DuVernay was raised together with her parents in Compton, spent each summer at Lowndes County Alabama in the family home of her father. Her father recalled the protests for civil rights that took place over the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the nearby town of Selma, Alabama. DuVernay was influenced by her summers in Selma, and later directed a documentary about King's father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay was awarded her graduation certificate at Saint Joseph High School, Lakewood California in 1990. She attended University of California Los Angeles to earn degrees in English as well as African American Studies. DuVernay was a student at the college when she became interested in production for television journalism. Her first job was as an intern for CBS News during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay recalls being asked to examine the garbage inside the house that belonged to a member of the jury. Following her disappointment with journalistic work by the assignments she was handed and deciding to go after the field of publicity. DuVernay was hired right out of college as an intern at a small studio. The year 1999 was the time she launched her own firm that specialized in public relations, The DuVernay Agency. In addition to PR, the company has created lifestyle networks and advertising campaigns such as the Urban Beauty Collective. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley was born under the sign of. She is famous for her roles in American Experience, (1987) A More Perfect Union and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn played Rose in A More Perfect Union as also Anna Payne from American Experience.

Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16 1936 from 1936 to August 17, 2015) was an American dancer, actress and choreographer.
